NoguerasBlanchard Curatorial Open Call 2013
Deadline: October 19, 2012.
NoguerasBlanchard is pleased to announce the second edition of the Curatorial Open Call, which invites individuals or collectives to submit a proposal for curating an exhibition at NoguerasBlanchard spaces in Madrid and Barcelona. The successful proposal will take place in April 2013 in both gallery spaces simultaneously.
The selected curator/s will receive a maximum of €4.000 in concept of honorarium and exhibition production budget. NoguerasBlanchard will provide administrative and production support, design and mailing of the press release invitation and an opening reception. The curator/curatorial collective must be in Madrid for the installation period and for the opening evening.
The final version of the selected project will be developed and finalized in close collaboration with the team of NoguerasBlanchard, with the purpose of taking into account financial constraints, artists requirements and the architectural specificities of each location and local contexts of each venue.
The proposal should:
– Be thought taking into consideration NoguerasBlanchard’s exhibition spaces (See floor plans attached)
– Have an international interest
– Show financial feasibility
We encourage proposals to challenge curatorial and gallery practices.
The decision will be made public on NoguerasBlanchard’s website and by e-mail by the end of November 2012.

Information about NoguerasBlanchard
NoguerasBlanchard is dedicated to developing a cross-disciplinary international gallery programme, reflecting a variety of conceptually-motivated positions and practices. The gallery´s main goal is to engage in a long-term commitment with the careers of its artists and to be highly involved in the production of works as well as off-site projects. We are assisting with proposals, raising funds to produce films, biennial projects or catalogues while working in close alliance with international galleries and institutions.
In 2011 we launched the first international Curatorial Open Call where we dedicate a yearly exhibition to emerging curatorial practices. Other initiatives to engage the local public include a book club and the ‘Kitchen Talks’, a series of informal talks in the gallery kitchen, where we invite artists, art critics, curators and other cultural agents. NoguerasBlanchard opened its first space in Barcelona in June 2004 and this year has opened a second exhibition space in Madrid.
