Fully funded professional seminar in Berlin. Art, Public & Intercultural Dialogue

Deadline: April 30, 2013.

EU based, curators and other art professionals working in audience education and development are invited to apply to take part Art, Public & Intercultural Dialogue (Building new audiences and new platforms for art engagement and engagement through art), which will take place in Berlin 30 September to 4 October, 2013, in cooperation with SAVVY Contemporary.

The seminar is fully funded by the EU LifeLong Learning Grundtvig In-Service Training Grant, which funds full costs of participation (including travel, accommodation and subsistence).

Professionals working in all countries of the Europe (except Germany because it is a mobility grant) are able to apply.

This course will assist participants to:

  • develop new models and approaches for dealing with challenges of bringing contemporary audiences to art and bringing art to general audiences in their own countries and beyond;
  • build resources, skills and opportunities to develop new approaches and paradigms in addressing and engaging new audiences from multiplicity of cultural backgrounds including ethnic, religious, age or disability related;
  • work with art as a forum for inter-cultural dialogue and to build partnerships which promote the importance of art in advancing social cohesion and civil society in a culturally heterogeneous Europe and beyond.
