Bring your museum experience to the House of European History

The European Parliament is seeking experienced curators, museum educators, conservation and collection managers, assistant-curators, and conservator-restorers for the House of European History in Brussels.

The House of European History, which is scheduled to open in 2016, will give visitors the opportunity to learn about European history and reflect on its meaning for the present day. It will house a substantial permanent exhibition with a specific focus on the history of European integration. It will also offer temporary and travelling exhibitions. The core, exhibition related, services of the House of European History will be available in 24 languages. It will be located in the Leopold Park in the European quarter of Brussels, in an historic building which is currently being renovated specifically for this purpose.

To join us, you must be an EU Citizen with at least 2 EU languages – one of the official EU languages plus good written and spoken knowledge of English, French or German. You will be working with highly qualified and talented colleagues from all over the European Union in a multicultural, multilingual and dynamic environment. You should also be flexible, adaptable and thus able to become integrated into a fast-moving diverse environment. The indicative basic starting salary for curators, museum educators, conservation and collection managers (grade AD7): € 5 612 month (based on a 40 hour working week).
The indicative basic starting salary for assistant-curators, and conservator-restorers (grade AST3):
€ 3 424 month (based on a 40 hour working week).
The European institutions have their own social security and pension schemes.
