The National Gallery is looking for a Senior Touring Exhibitions Manager to join our Exhibitions Team. The Exhibitions Department plans and manages the Gallery`s programme of temporary exhibitions, working with staff in many other National Gallery departments as well as colleagues nationally and internationally. Around eight to ten temporary exhibitions are held in the Gallery each year, ranging from large international loan exhibitions to small one room displays. In addition, the department plans and manages national and international touring exhibitions to a range of venues.

You will help research and develop opportunities for international and national tours and source appropriate partners and venues as required. You will promote the National Gallery`s touring exhibition programme and maintain a network of national and international contacts.

You will be the key provider of day-to-day operational advice and support for touring projects within the Exhibitions department, providing advice and support for relevant Exhibitions Managers and Assistants on all aspects of touring exhibition project and loan management

This role is a fixed term contract for up to 12 months as maternity cover
