Programme Curator: Residencies and Public Programme – Maternity Cover 

Contract: Fixed term, maternity cover – up to 14 months from March 2018 until May 2019
Hours of work: Negotiable: Working hours are 40 hours per week (or optional 32 hours per week) including one hour’s unpaid lunch break. This job requires regular evening and weekend work
Salary: £30,000 per annum (pro rata, if applicable)

Camden Arts Centre is looking for an experienced Programme Curator: Residencies and Public Programme – Maternity Cover. The primary function of this post is to coordinate and deliver a fully integrated programme of public talks, events and artist residencies in consultation with the Programme Team. Key activity during this period will include the annual Freelands Lomax Ceramics Fellowship, annual studio residency, The London Summer Intensive in partnership with Slade School of Art, ongoing university projects, an annual lecture and the Temporaries lecture series in partnership with Sotheby’s Institute of Art.

The successful candidate will have at least two years’ experience programming and coordinating public programmes and artist-led events, and of working on long-term artist projects with a variety of external partners and freelancers. You will have a strong understanding of contemporary art, art history and current issues pertinent to the sector.
